Canon PIXMA MG4150 Reviews Printers– Canon’s Pixma MG4150 automatically print on both sides of the page and also has Wi-Fi on the machine, so you can print out directly from smart cell phones and tablets, wherever you are.Design and features

Like a lot of Canon’s recent all-in-one models, this is a significant smart-looking printer. The blend of the polished black finish off and nicely rounded edges help it look more desirable than many rival manufacturers’ models.

The control snowboard over the right-hand side includes a flip-up 3-inch shade screen. That isn’t a touchscreen technology, so instead you gain access to the various menus using three buttons mounted straight beneath the display that correspond to the 3 icons that are on the screen any kind of time one time.

You can scroll down and up through the blocks of icons using the online pad controls mounted below these buttons. There are also dedicated controls for colour and black and white copying, so it is a simple model to use.

There is PictBridge USB port for printing directly from your camera, but it does indeed have an SD and Memory Card reader on the front to let you print snaps immediately from sticks.

When it comes to paper handling and cartridge loading, it uses Canon’s FastFront design. This means that unlike most cheap all-in-one models, it doesn’t have a vertical loading paper holder at the back. Rather, you flip down a panel at the front end to disclose the paper-in bay at the bottom and telescopic paper-out tray sitting just above it.

Installation

Setting up the ink cartridges is pretty straightforward. You simply pull down another front side flap and slot the cartridges into a clean on the right-hand area before securing them with a levered retainer. Is actually not as elegant a remedy as the simple push-in designs that you get on some more expensive printers, but as there are merely two cartridges to load, it’s no inconvenience.

Installing the software program on your PC is a wind. You may choose between an USB or Wi-Fi interconnection. The Wi-Fi option unwraps up more possibilities. Intended for example, if the inkjet printer is linked via Wifi, you can also down load free software for iOS or Android phones and tablets to print direct from your mobile device. The printer also works with Canon and Google’s cloud printing services, allowing you to send careers to it from any Internet-connected PC or touch screen phone, anywhere in the world.

Scanning and burning

This kind of model doesn’t have an automated document feeder built in, so if if you’re scanning multi-page documents, you have to manually place each one on the scanner’s glass surface.

The scanner performs reasonably well although detail levels are not as high as they could be. It can not massively quick for photocopying either as it was a little while until 19 seconds to copy my standard black and white A4 test sheet.

Produce speed, cost and quality

This is certainly not the speediest model on the block. Single-sided text message printing is not too bad — it had taken 1 minute 18 second to complete my 10-page test. However, double-sided stamping is very slow as the same document got 4 minutes 29 mere seconds in duplex mode.

Additionally it is sluggish when it comes to colour documents, taking 4 minutes 12 second to complete my 10-page graphics ensure that you 3 minutes 44 second to end my colour business presentation. Even image creating was quite tardy, taking 1 minute 3 second in order to complete a 4×6-inch take.

Text print quality is actually excellent though. Characters are cleanly formed with very little feathering or run ink on the webpage. Text looks dark and very solid too. Images output isn’t quite up to the same standard. While colours are strong and vivid, banding would creep in on much larger blocks of colour. Photographs came up well, as colours were strong, but parts of the picture with tricky lighting could have been better handled.

The[desktop] uses just two printer cartridges — one for colour and one for black. Cartridges are available in either standard or XL size. Using the XL cartridges, a dark-colored and white page computes at 3. 5p every sheet, while a coloring one comes in at 4. 7p. They are affordable costs, especially for a two-cartridge model.

Conclusion

The MG4150 has a stylish design, it’s fairly cost-effective to perform and it offers a good line-up of features. Although text quality is excellent, its design output isn’t as impressive and the slow print out speeds are a move.
