Reviews Printers– Professional photographers openly share what they need, want and do not want a printer. Stunning black and white prints with deep blacks and detailed gradations. A wide range of colors that accurately reproduces even the most difficult colors. And Canon, listen.
Canon PRO-1000 imagePROGRAFaA professional 17-inch large-format printer with an 11-color ink system plus the Chroma Optimizer that does it all. Possibly one of the best printers I designed. Excited by a bold red line.
It has been a couple of years since Canon introduced the PRO-1000. The professional 17-inch printer was well received by photographers and critics alike, perhaps with the only major complaint is the lack of support for most 23-inch paper roll and engraving. Although support for the roll of paper does not come true (this would require additional hardware), earlier this week, Canon has finally released an updated driver that allows PRO-1000 printing up to 25.5 inches long.
Those additional two and a half inches may not seem like much, but to make a significant improvement for some users. 17 × 25 inches is a common size for fine art paper printer brands like Hahnemühle and Moab. So far, the PRO-1000 was not able to take full advantage of these functions. Even the standard size of 1 x 24 inches (which is in accordance with the aspect ratio of two or three cameras) was previously out of reach, as mentioned by Imaging Resource.
