How to troubleshoot network communication problems with Canon printers

  1. Make sure the printer isn’t displaying any errors. If the printer is in an error state. Please resolve the error status first.
  2. If nothing changes to the wireless network, then Turn off and unplug your printer. Unplug the wireless router for at least 15 seconds, and then plug it back in. After full initialization is complete, then reconnect the printer and turn it on. Try printing again. If there are still no responses and results, then you should try to continue to the next step.
  3. Print network setting information.
    • If the print shows that the connection is active and the signal strength is less than 80%, try moving the printer and router closer. If neither the printer nor router cannot be moved, try to remove any obstructions between the two devices, or turn off any devices that could interfere with network communication.
    • If the printout shows that the connection is active and the signal strength is more than 80%, try temporarily disabling the firewall software on your computer. If the printer responds to a print prompt after the firewall has been disabled, you will need to open the port that the printer uses for network communication. Please refer to your firewall vendor documentation for instructions on opening this port.
    • If the printout shows that the connection is active and the SSID (network name) is BJNPSETUP, the printer network settings have been reset to factory defaults. The printer needs to be reconnected to the wireless network.
    • If the printout shows that the connection is not active and the SSID (network name) is wrong, the printer must be reconnected to the network. Connection not active This could be because you got a different or new wireless router from the previous settings, or it could be due to a change in your current SSID settings or network password.
  4. Depending on what is listed on the printed network information settings page, perform the appropriate troubleshooting steps noted.
  5. If your computer is connected to a Virtual Private Network (VPN), try disconnecting from that VPN and printing again.xxTo understand the various error codes that may appear on your Canon printer, from time to time there may be a number of problems that arise when using your Canon printer. Second Solutions How To Troubleshoot Canon Printer Error

There are several different troubleshooting steps that you can follow yourself and in conjunction with Canon printing software to quickly get your printer back into operating condition.

  • Canon Pixma G7065 Driver

Step 1

  • See if your Canon printer has an indicator light that flashes in a specific pattern and then consult your manual to see if there is an appropriate error code. Follow the instructions in the manual for how to fix the related problem, or continue with other troubleshooting if it doesn’t display a specific error code.

Step 2

  • Make sure the power cable is plugged into your wall socket and the USB cable is properly connected to your computer. Open the top of the printer and perform a quick visual inspection to see if any pieces of paper have become stuck in the paper feed.

Step 3

  • Restart your computer and try printing something new if the computer stops recognizing your printer or the print queue stops responding due to a software error.

Step 4

  • Navigate to your computer’s “Control Panel” and click the “Printers and Faxes” option. Click on the “Add A Printer” button if your Canon printer does not appear in the list. Follow the instructions on the screen so that your computer will run a test to try to detect the printer.

Step 5

  • Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Canon software that came with your printer and then navigates your Web browser to their official Web page and download the latest version of the software driver.

Step 6

  • Open the Canon printer software that you have installed and select the Properties or Options tab. Click on the option for “Text Alignment” or “Clean Print Heads,” depending on the version of the software you are using. Wait for the printer to finish the alignment and then print a test page. Check to see if the test page prints correctly and then contact Canon for repair or replacement options if it still doesn’t work properly.

Third Solution For Common Canon Printer Problems

Below are some solutions to common Canon printer problems.

Canon Printer Does Not Print

  • It looks obvious, but try to check if the printer is properly plugged in and turned on. The machine starts printing after the ON light turns on and does not blink. Delays are also experienced when printing material with multiple photos or graphics. Again, just wait for the ON light to stop blinking. Printing starts after the lamp stabilizes.
  • Sometimes, the presence of a print job that was not deleted is the cause. Delete this print job from the queue. Then, try printing your material again.

Canon  Printer is to slow

  • A printer that runs slowly is one of the most common printer problems. This usually happens when the equipment is set to print high-quality prints. A simple way to improve the performance of your printer is to reduce print quality or change the setting to draft mode. Doing this not only increases the speed of your printer but also helps you save on ink or toner. Another way to increase the printing speed of your equipment is to eliminate graphics if you are printing the page from a website.

Canon Printer Paper Jam

  • There is a warning or alarm message that alerts you when the paper is jammed in your printer. The first thing you have to do is turn off the printer and unplug it. Then, without touching the film or rails, gently pull the jammed paper. Make sure that no torn pieces of paper are left inside.

Canon  Printer Faded Or Very Light Prints

  • A poor print quality problem is usually caused by a clogged print head. Dry ink is often the main cause of clogging, this is quite common with inkjet printers that are not used very often. Besides being too light, the printout might also have horizontal lines or be too grainy. You can clean dry ink using the printer utility program. After running the program, print a test page to check if the problem is solved.
  • Sometimes, printouts are blurred because the ink will run out soon. However, if this is the case, your printer is giving a warning for this. If this is the culprit, make sure you replace the cartridges.

Canon Printer “No Paper” Warning Appears

  • When the “No Paper” error appears even though there is paper in the printer, there might be foreign objects on the rear tray. Turn off and unplug the printer; then, get rid of the object.
  • The problem may also be that the paper is not properly loaded in the machine. When loading paper, make sure the edges of the sheet of the paper line up. The paper must also be loaded in portrait orientation.
  • Sometimes, errors appear because the paper is curled, wrinkled, or too thick. Try changing the paper. Also, make sure that the paper you load matches the paper size setting of the file that is being printed. Finally, try cleaning the paper feed rollers to solve this problem.

Canon Printer Printing Not Completed

  • Sometimes printing stops in the middle of a job. This is not uncommon, especially if you are printing photos or other graphics-heavy materials or files. When this happens, both the machine and the computer are probably processing large amounts of data. After processing is complete, printing continues.
  • Printing can also stop if your machine has been printing for a long time, causing certain parts such as the printhead to overheat. Let your machine rest for a bit. If the printer does not continue printing by itself, turn it off for at least 15 minutes. If this still doesn’t work, it’s a good idea to contact a professional printer maintenance service provider for an accurate assessment of what’s causing the problem.
