IJ Start Canon– Canon offers many PIXMA inkjet printers designed for desktop use, where size and weight are usually not issues. However, in the market for portable printers, size and weight are crucial. A portable printer must be lightweight, compact, and still deliver good print quality in a reasonable time. The Canon PIXMA iP100 is a portable printer that meets these needs and can be used with an optional lithium-ion battery, allowing it to work away from a power outlet. This Canon PIXMA iP100 is very great at printing so it is the right choice for you, especially for those of you who need Canon PIXMA iP100 Driver Download, Software and also manuals, please download the link we have provided.
Design and Features
The PIXMA iP100 is about the size of one and a half Xbox consoles laid on their sides. It is mostly silver, with black accents on both ends and a black bar across the top with the Canon logo. Lifting the top cover automatically lowers the front page cover using a magnetic catch. The top part of the cover extends to provide support for A4 paper, which feeds through from the back and out to the front.
The physical controls and indicators are simple, with a power button, an inset power LED, and a feed button with a paper jam indicator. On the left side, there is a socket for the external power supply, and on the right, there are sockets for USB and a PictBridge camera. If you choose the printer version with the optional lithium battery (sold separately for £50), the battery clips onto the back and is secured by two screws.
Performance and Print Quality
Once the top cover is lifted to form the paper input tray, the top surface of the printer becomes a cover that can be lifted to reveal two low-profile ink cartridges. One cartridge contains pigmented black ink, while the other holds cyan, magenta, and yellow dye-based inks, as well as photo black ink to improve dark tones in photo prints.
We often expect lower print speed and quality from a portable printer, but the PIXMA iP100 performs well compared to desktop printers in our tests. Our five-page text document printed in 45 seconds, giving a text speed of 6.67 pages per minute (ppm), and the text and graphics test took 1 minute and 25 seconds or 3.53 ppm. While these times do not match Canon’s specifications (15.6 ppm and 11.2 ppm), they are still good for a portable machine.

Photo Print Quality
Print quality from the pigmented black ink cartridge is very clean, almost like laser quality, with only the slightest hint of rough edges. This makes the printer suitable for printing quotes or other immediate documentation quickly.
Our photo test print also performed well, with plenty of shadow detail and sharp focus in all the right places. Color variations are smooth, with no noticeable patterns. The colors in the photo prints are bright but not unnatural, making the quality comparable to that of desktop printers.
Operating Costs
In addition to the printer price of around £200, there is an extra cost for the two ink cartridges. The black cartridge costs around £12, and the color cartridge costs about £16. Given that their page yields are around 200 pages, this results in page costs of 7.08p for black and 13.48p for color.
