Canon PIXMA G5020 Driver Download– The Canon PIXMA TS5020 Wireless All-In-One printer is a low-volume low-cost model designed for home use. The main difference between that and the more pricier and richer features of TS9020 and TS8020 (the last Editors ‘ Choice) is that TS5020 uses five inks rather than six.

Unlike other editors ‘ Choice, Brother MFC-J985DW (entry-level office-centric AIO), none of Pixmas comes with automated feeder documents (ADFs), making them less suitable for home-based office use.

Design and Features
Like other TS-Series Pixmas, TS5020 performs three functions — print, scan, and copy — and comes in three colors: black (which is reviewed here), White, and brown. Unlike other TS models, though, TS5020 has only one paper input source, a tray that extends out from the back of the chassis and holds 100 sheets (or 20 pieces of Premium photo paper). The TS9020 and TS8020 come with not only the rear tray but also the 100 sheets of the cassette in front. In addition, at 5 by 14.7 by 12.5 inches (HWD) and a slight £12.1 weight, it’s also the smallest of the bunch and thus small enough to fit comfortably in most desktops. The Control Panel consists of a 3-inch non-Touch LCD color that you navigate with four directional buttons and an OK button to execute the command. There are four other buttons on the panel: Power, Back, stop and, Start. As with other TS series models, the control panel will be tilted for easier use, but on the TS9020 and TS8020, the output tray uses the request, tilting the panel upwards automatically.

Basic connectivity consists of USB and Wi-Fi, as well as multiple mobile and Cloud connection features, including AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, and Mopria, as well as Canon’s own PIXMA Cloud link, Canon Print, and PictBridge Wireless to be printed directly from the camera Certain digital Canon. You can also print from several flavors of SD card and scan it to a network drive or email. The SD card Slot is located in the lower left corner of the chassis, next to the output tray.

Unlike TS9020 and TS8020 Pixmas, TS5020 cannot print on CDS, DVDs, and Blu-Ray discs, nor does it (like the other two) support Near Field Communication (NFC) for peer-to-peer connections from your mobile device. Even so, the Canon app provides adequate cellular connectivity. It is also important to note that all TS Pixmas supports Instagram’s 5-by-5-inch square photo format. As has been done with other TS-Series Pixmas, as well as the relatively new G-Series Pixmas, such as PIXMA G1200 MegaTank printer and PIXMA G3200 Wireless MegaTank All-In-One printers, Canon does not publish a task maximum monthly cycles or Recommended monthly print volume specifications for TS5020.

Setup and software
In my test, setting up PIXMA TS5020 is a snap. The Packing material consists of only four pieces of ribbon, plastic bags, and two small such as Styrofoam braces to stabilize the machine in its box. Uninstalling, installing ink tanks and software, loading paper, and aligning the print head takes less than 20 minutes.

The software bundle consists of Canon’s standard PIXMA-centric photo drivers and programs, which include My Image Garden and Quick Menu. The Quick Menu is a collection of always-on icons to access the My Image Garden feature.

Print speed
Canon prices TS5020 at 12.6 pages per minute (ppm) for monochrome pages and 9ppm for color. I tested it via USB using our standard Core i5 testbed PC running Windows 10. When printing a light-formatted Microsoft Word text document, TS5020 succeeds 12.1 ppm, very close to rating, and a little slower than TS9020 ‘s 12.9 ppm and a bit faster than the TS8020 ‘s 11.4 ppm. In addition, printing the same text document 3PPM is faster than the Epson Expression Premium XP-640 small-in-one printer, which competes the AIO five ink without the ADF. As some of our printers have been tested, TS5020 ‘s speed score is drunk considerably when I include results from our printing Acrobat, Excel, and PowerPoint documents that contain color, graphics, and photos – in this case (and as with other TS Pixmas discussed here) by almost 75 percent. The value of 4.5 ppm is a mite higher than the TS9020 ‘s 4.2 ppm and TS8020 ‘s 4.4 ppm, but not much. It beats the Epson XP-640a’s 3.2 ppm by a little more, though.

TS5020 excels in printing photos, with a speed of average 19 seconds when printing a 4-by-6-inch snapshot. It is both faster than both TS9020 and TS8020 and 6 seconds faster than XP-640. Given the print quality of photos TS5020 ‘s (see next section), 19 seconds fast.

Output quality
In addition to the three standard color inks (Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow), the TS5020 comes with two black inks, one based pigment, and another based dye. As already mentioned, both TS9020 and TS8020 come with a sixth, gray ink, to print mainly the photo grayscale, although Canon says that it also enhances the color image. As in TS8020, the print quality is above average overall. The text comes out dark and well-shaped, even at small sizes (5 and 6 points). And when I printed the photos on Premium paper, the results were great, competing for what we saw from not only the six-ink model but also the previous MG-Pixmas series (which replaced the TS series), such as the PIXMA MG5720 Wireless Inkjet All-In-One.

Graphics look good too, for the most part, though I did see some banding (ordinary patterns of cryptic striations) in a dark fill and background, especially the black ones. On the other hand, fill the lighter colored and smooth looking gradient. TS5020 wouldn’t be the best choice for printing PowerPoint handouts, but there’s no arguing with the quality of the photos and the text.

Operational costs
Because of the fifth black ink, calculating the right cost per page for the TS5020 is not very feasible, as there is no way to gauge when the cartridge was kicking. That said, when you use the highest yield ink tanks, per-page cost using four standard Cyan, Magenta, yellow, and black ink is 4.1 cents for monochrome pages and 12.7 cents for color. Assume, then, that with other black ink, the cost per page is somewhat higher.

Running this high cost is unusual for a photo-centric AIOs like this. The Epson XP-640 ‘s per-page cost, for example, 4.7 cents for monochrome and 13.7 cents for color, and also, has a fifth ink ( “Black photo “) that increases the cost per page in some scenarios, once again making actual running costs impossible to Calculating precisely. You don’t have to install this high ink fee to get a good looking photo. The previously mentioned PIXMA G3200 (with features similar to TS5020) prints photos of as well as all TS series models discussed here, and that, like some Epson EcoTank models, such as the Expression ET-3600 EcoTank All-In-One Supertank printer, Provides a running cost of less than 1 cent per page for both monochrome and color pages. But then both machines Canon MegaTank and Epson EcoTank cost $200 to $300 more than TS5020.

Conclusion
The Canon PIXMA TS5020 Wireless Inkjet All-In-One printer is indeed an all-in-one printer in that it prints documents, scans, and makes copies, but for the most part, this is only convenience-it is basically a photo printer. Like its higher-priced siblings, TS9020 and TS8020, the lack of ADF and its high operational costs make it impractical for low-volume home use. If you need more, consider a machine with lower operational costs, such as Brother MFC-J985DW, but you won’t be approaching the quality of the TS5020 ‘s photo — which is incredible for the price.
