Canon PIXMA MG7520 Drivers Download
Canon PIXMA MG7520 Drivers Download– The MG7520 is a three-capacity holding nothing back one machine worked around a photograph printer motor, which implies the ink framework includes two hues – shade dark to supplement the color based dark, and dim – to the standard CMYK. These additional inks give more detail in shaded territories where CMYK-just printers have a tendency to lose points of interest in photograph prints. You can print, output, and duplicate, however, Canon’s Pixma photograph printers (assigned by the MG in its model name) don’t have fax ability – something most home clients won’t miss.
This Canon lead purchaser photograph printer (starting late 2014) has an extremely smooth plan (it quantifies 17.2 x 14.6 x 5.9 crawls and measures a svelte 17.4 pounds, making it conservative and lightweight). On the top is a flatbed scanner with an optical determination of 2400×4800 dpi; in light of the fact that MG photograph printers aren’t intended for office use, there is no programmed record feeder. The front has a 3.5-creep shading touchscreen, in addition to a sensor territory for Canon’s Pixma Touch and Print NFC (close field correspondence) include for remote printing utilizing NFC-good Android cell phones. To utilize Touch and Print, you should utilize the Pixma Printing Solutions application on your telephone, however what irritated us was that documentation clarifies the setup procedure (we needed to track one down on the web).

The MG7520 is a three-way all-in-one machine built around a photo printer engine, which means the ink system adds two colors – pigment black to complement the dye-based black and gray to the standard CMYK. These additional inks give more detail in shady areas, where CMYK-only printers tend to lose detail in photo prints. You can print, scan, and copy, but the Canon Pixma photo printers (labeled MG by the model name) don’t have fax capability – something most home users won’t miss.
This flagship Canon consumer photo printer (end of 2014) has a very sleek design (it measures 17.2 x 14.6 x 5.9 inches and weighs just 17.4 pounds, making it compact and lightweight) . On top there is a flatbed scanner with an optical resolution of 2400 × 4800 dpi; since MG photo printers are not intended for office use, there is no automatic feeder. The front has a 3.5-inch color touch screen, plus a touch area for the Canon Pixma Touch and Print NFC (near field communication) function for wireless printing using NFC-compatible Android smartphones. To use Touch and Print, you’ll need to use the Pixma Printing Solutions app on your phone, but what annoyed us was that there was documentation explaining the setup process (we had to follow it online).
In addition to NFC, the MG7520 offers wired Ethernet, USB, Wi-Fi and wireless PictBridge connectivity options (the latter only works with a few Canon cameras). There is also a multi-format memory card reader that supports SD, SDHC, MiniSD, MicroSD, MicroSDHC and various Memory Stick formats.
There are two paper trays under this panel. The main tray holds up to 120 sheets of letter-sized paper, which is not much. The second tray is for photo paper only and holds up to 20 sheets of 4 x 6 or 5 x 7 photo paper. Larger sizes of photo paper are fed through the main paper tray. The printer can make double-sided (double-sided) prints – a good feature to look for.
The inks are available in standard capacity and large capacity (XL). Ink prices range from $ 12 to $ 23 per cartridge. For XL cartridges, color cartridges yield about 360 pages; 275 pages for gray ink; 1,125 pages in black; and 3900 pages for pigmented black – a color that is used only sparingly. Standard cartridges have an approximate gain of 168 (color), 125 (gray), 495 (black) and 3050 (pigment black) pages.
To the cloud
While printers are now seen as a major computer peripheral, companies like Canon are adding value to them. As with many printers today, the MG7520 offers many mobile and networking features, so we want to talk a little bit about the platform that Canon calls Pixma Printing Solutions (PPS). Users can access the PPS features through an Android and iOS app or through the printer’s touch screen.
The printer supports Apple AirPrint for printing from Apple devices, as well as cloud printing solutions such as Google Cloud Print and Canon’s IJ Cloud Print. Of course, to use any web features, the MG7520 must have an internet connection. Setup is relatively painless: download the app from the respective stores or go through the setup menus of the MG7520 and just follow the setup instructions. To use Google Cloud Print or Canon IJ Cloud Print, you will need to have accounts created with any service before connecting to them; the printer guides you through registration.
In addition to cloud platforms, you can access content in various web services. After registering your printer with something called Canon Cloud Link Server, you can download applications such as Picasa Web Albums directly to the printer. You can also connect to your Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Dropbox and more accounts. When set, they are accessible from the Cloud icon on the LCD home screen, and you can print photos or documents stored in these services.
Not tied to PPS is Creative Park Premium, an online resource from Canon that offers a wide variety of printing crafts that you can print with the MG7520.
What’s in the box
Packed are an MFP, power cord, a set of six boot ink cartridges, a setup CD, and a special tray for printing on CDs or DVDs. Canon also includes a small sample package of photo paper.
Implementation and use
Setting up the MFP is easy. The process of installing the included CD (you can also download the software from the Canon website) takes you through the process of installing the print and scan drivers. You can also install the Canon Quick Menu, which occupies the lower right corner of your screen; we didn’t worry, as past reviews of this feature found unnecessary actual use of the printer.
Additional inks give more detail in the shaded areas of the photos.
Canon advertises the MG7520 as a leading home printer with photo capability, and our tests have confirmed this. We printed our three test images on various Canon photo papers, as well as Hammermill Premium inkjet and laser paper (basic paper that you can buy at office supplies stores). On the photo papers, the colors were accurate and pleasantly saturated. On Hammermill paper, saturation dropped somewhat due to ink entering the paper, but we believe that the quality of the paper’s output is good for things like school reports.
When testing the copy speed, we found it acceptable, but still slow – a universal complaint with most inkjet AiOs. The scanner gives an output that is accurate in color and provides fine detail. The lack of an ADF on the scanner limits the scanning and copying of double-sided or multi-page documents.
Conclusion
As a photo printer, the MG7520 is excellent. Home users will appreciate the imprints of the quality of the photos and the usefulness for making craft projects such as greeting cards, calendars and more. Our complaint is that for the asking price we want Canon to add an ADF to the scanner; other vendors, such as Epson, have. We didn’t miss the fax.
Otherwise, the MG7520 has many things. It can print on optical media, supports NFC, generates excellent output quality and access to various web and cloud services. With their easy-to-navigate screen, they all make the MG7520 a great choice for the home photographer or craft lover.
