IJ Start Canon– To install and run Canon IJ Setup, you can follow the instructions given below. The IJ Start Canon can be used for printing, scanning, network settings, and more. Once you have installed this package, you can use its functions effectively.
The Canon IJ printer driver (just called the printer driver below) is software that you install onto your computer so that it can communicate with the printer.
The printer driver will convert the printing data created by your application software into data that your printer can understand, and will then send the converted data to the printer
Because different types and types of printers will also support different data formats, you need a printer driver and software that supports your printer.

Canon Pixma G3010 Review
The Canon Pixma G3010 isn’t the most compact all-in-one you’ll ever find. This printer comes in an icy matte-black finish that just looks classy, and overall it feels like a better-built unit than most other printers in its price range.
The buttons are all arranged on the right side of the printer, which is also where you’ll find the LCD screen. There’s not much to say about these buttons, other than the fact that they get the job done. Personally, I don’t use the buttons very often, like almost anything on this printer can be done using a smartphone (more on that later), but when I did use the buttons (mostly to turn the printer on or off), the buttons felt tactile and clearly made. well.
That’s not surprising, Canon products are well made (just look at their cameras), and the Pixma G3010 is no exception.
Plus, the printer comes with the usual stuff — an extendable paper tray, and a paper output tray (extendable too). The input tray is great, because it folds easily over the printer itself, so it can protect the inside of the Pixma G3010 from dust — which makes it easy to store the printer when not in use.
The Pixma G3010 is also nicely designed with the way Canon has set the ports on this thing. There’s the main power input on the left side of the printer (which is also a reversible connector, and I like that. Brownie points to Canon), and there’s a USB port on the right side that you can use to make a wired connection between the printer and your system.
Organize Everything
Setting up the Pixma G3010 might seem like a huge task if you take a look at the included manual with its very confusing images. However, it’s actually not that hard to set everything up. The most important thing when setting up a printer is actually installing the cartridges in the printheads, and filling in the colors — Canon provides a single bottle of all the colors you need to fill the printer in the box itself, so you can start printing right away.
Once you’ve filled ink, and set up the cartridges, you can proceed to connect the printer to your PC and/or smartphone — using a wired or wireless connection if you prefer. For the cable, you must use the USB port on the right side with the included USB cable.
Connections and Compatibility
While the Pixma G3010 only offers one USB port for wired connectivity, the Pixma G3010 offers many ways to connect to a PC or smartphone. There is obviously a cable method you can use, by connecting the printer to your PC with the included USB cable and installing the drivers, either from Canon’s website or from the included CD.
However, you can also use the Canon PRINT app (Android, iOS) to connect your phone to a printer and print photos, documents, scan items directly to your phone’s memory, copy, and even click pictures from your smartphone camera and print them out right away. Pixma G3010.
You can obviously also make the Pixma G3010 available over your internet so all your local devices can access it wirelessly and send print jobs to it. That makes it very easy to share printers, especially if you are in an office space with multiple systems, all of which may require access to the printer at any time.
You’ll need a driver for the printer to set things up, as I said, but there’s one interesting thing I’ve noticed. So Canon says that macOS is not yet supported by printers, and yes, if you try to visit the webpage mentioned in the manual to download the driver, you won’t find a download button. However, I was able to get the printer working with my MacBook Pro running macOS Mojave by simply downloading the Pixma G3010 series driver from this website.
I’m not sure if Canon will approve it, but hey, I’m using a MacBook Pro and I also wanted to test this printer with my laptop, so I did what I had to do. The good news is that it works really well, so if you’re on a Mac, this is something you can do to make the printer work with your laptop too.
Print, Scan, and Copy Performance
To test the printing performance of the Pixma G3010 printer, I printed a large number of documents and images, both color and black and white, to see what they looked like, and how good the printing quality on this printer really was. . I print documents, Photoshop files, even Amazon listings for this printer. I also scan documents, take pictures from my phone and use the Canon PRINT app to print them, and more.
Unlike many other printers, the ink doesn’t smudge if you touch (or even rub) the paper too hard immediately after you’re done printing, and no color comes off the paper either. I’ve noticed that there are a few wet spots on a piece of paper, but that’s only happened once, and never happened again, even though I printed almost everything I read today, so I’m willing to write it down as a one-off error that almost certainly won’t. ever happened again.
As for pictures, I didn’t have glossy photo quality paper to test properly, but even on a regular quality A4 sheet, photos printed from the Canon Pixma G3010 look good. The printer didn’t seem to mess with the colors at all, and the photos turned out really well, especially considering I used a regular A4 sheet to print on them. I’m pretty sure the print quality of the image on the actual photo quality sheet will be much better.
Also worth mentioning is that while the printing speed here is decent, it takes a few seconds for the printer to start printing when you send a document or image to print — this happens regardless of whether you’re printing via a wired USB connection, over WiFi, or sending a print job from a smartphone. You are using the Canon PRINT application. It’s not a very long wait, but if you find yourself printing hundreds of documents every day, the wait may be bothering you. However, this is something we have seen happen with a number of ink tanks in this price range.
Apart from that, Pixma G3010 can also scan documents and copy documents, and these two functions work as you would expect. You can start the copy function by pressing the ‘Black’ or ‘Color’ button on the printer, or you can start a copy job via the Canon PRINT application. Scanning also works really well, in fact, if you start the scan from the Canon PRINT app, you can even save the scanned copy to your smartphone directly, which is really cool.
pros and cons
While I personally come to positive conclusions about the G3010 printer, here are some of the most important pros and cons about the printer so you can get a quick overview of everything this printer does well, and what it could improve on.
Advantages:
- nice building
- Good print quality
- Scan and copy works great
- Amazing mobile app available for Android and iOS
Counter:
- The buttons can be confusing
- No official macOS support
Canon Pixma TS3322 Review
This wireless all-in-one printer is designed for home offices and families. The TS3320 is a budget-friendly AIO for any family, costing less than a hundred dollars.
The control panel for the Pixma TS3320 is located at the top of the device body, to the left of the scanning bed. There are several physical buttons on the device: Two of them establish a wireless connection to the network or smartphone. Two additional buttons display the settings menu or status information on the small LCD screen. Because the 1.5-inch monochrome display lacks light, it may be difficult to read in dimly lit environments. Apart from the simple Copy feature, you’ll want to use the TS3320 with a PC instead of alone
The output tray slides out from behind the large hole in the printer body from the front. You reach this bay and fold the cover to open the ink cartridge bay to replace the ink cartridges.
For an all-in-one inkjet, the TS3320 is neither small nor large. It is 17.2 inches wide by 12.5 inches deep and 5.8 inches high with the paper tray retracted. The TS3320 is 21.8 inches deep and 8.4 inches high when the tray is extended. Due to the lack of a duplexer and automatic document feeder, it is relatively light, weighing only eight and a half pounds.
Print quality
The text is not very sharp, but sufficient. Font shapes in text documents have soft edges and stray ink spray around them when examined closely. In comparison, the fonts in our test PDF document appear sharper.
Graphics printed on plain paper have clear features and smooth midtone transitions, making them attractive. However, the banding is clearly visible on all of our graphic prints.
We had to judge the photo quality on 5-by-7-inch and 4-by-6-inch glossy prints because the TS3320 won’t print on letter-sized glossy paper. With sharp details and natural-looking color saturation, this print is quite attractive. Even though the equipment doesn’t support matte paper, the prints I produced on matte paper using the plain paper setting looked great.
Copy quality is synonymous with print quality: the text is slightly scratched at the edges, and images are quite attractive — but slight banding on certain prints is distracting. A photo or artwork with depth, compared to an image with a flat view, shows more band. In both colors and black and white, the same thing happens.
Scanning JPEG photos and PDF documents look pretty close to the original — crystal clear overall. Although some fine details in the dark areas are lost, color photos are regenerated with appropriate lighting and well-saturated tones. In the dark spots, the black-and-white reproduction of the artwork loses some of the features of the original.
Print Speed
Our five-page text document was printed in 43.7 seconds by the TS3320. The category average is 33.5 seconds, or 9 ppm, which is much slower. On our six-page PDF containing mixed text and color graphics, the device is terrible at printing in color, resulting in one of the slowest times to date: The document took 4 minutes to print on the TS3320. Comparable models print the same PDF in half the time, an average of 2 minutes 7 seconds, or 2.8 ppm.
The TS3320 did not pass our photo printing speed test, which requires printing a full page of photos on letter-size photo paper. As a result, I printed a 4 by 6-inch photo print for comparison.
In 2 minutes and 1 second, the TS3320 prints a glossy 4 by 6-inch print. Most of the models we tested were faster in comparison, but many were slower. The faster versions are the Canon Pixma MG3620, which scored a 4-by-6 in 43 seconds, and the HP Tango X, which took 1 minute 15 seconds. However, slower printers have been seen, such as the now-discontinued Epson XP-420, which took more than 3 minutes to complete the same task.
Copy and Scan Speed
Color copying takes a long time. The TS3320 is the second-slowest inkjet printer in its category in terms of color copying. That’s well behind the 27.8-second average, coming in at 47 seconds. Only HP Tango X, at 1 minute 11 seconds, is slower. Editor’s Choice In our tests, the Canon Pixma TS9120 printed a color copy in just 17.3 seconds, three times faster than the TS3320.
The black-and-white copy fits the category average at 15.8 seconds, though it’s still a little slow at 19.2 seconds.
At approximately average speed, the TS3320 scans 600 dpi color images to the JPEG format. It took 1 minute and 1.7 seconds, which is faster than the overall average of 1 minute and 7.7 seconds. The Canon TS9120 Editor’s Choice, on the other hand, completed the same scan in just 37.8 seconds.
The printer scans documents in black and white format to PDF at 300 dpi quality. It took just 7.5 seconds to complete the scan, compared to an average of 11 seconds; The TS9120 took 7.7 seconds.
Ink Cost
2 ink cartridges are used in the Canon Pixma TS3320: a pigment black cartridge and a dye-based tri-color cartridge. There are three tiers of ink cartridges available, although the lowest has a relatively high cost per page. Text costs 16 cents per page and graphics costs 37 cents per page when using the PG-243 Black and CL-244 color cartridges.
The cost of a text page goes up to 10 cents when you upgrade to the PG-245 black cartridge, which is still more than the 7.2 cent average for the standard cartridge.
The TS3320 costs 8.7 cents per page for text and 18.7 cents for color print when using the high-yield XL cartridge. Competing versions use high-yield cartridges averaging 5.6 cents and 14.4 cents, respectively. If you print a lot, the cost of the ink may increase rapidly.
A 4-by-6-inch photo costs 67.5 cents to print using a basic cartridge. A 4-by-6 costs 43 cents worth of ink when using the CL-246 and PG-245 color cartridges. For 34.3 cents, the XL cartridge prints a 4-by-6.
In principle, the combo plan might lower the cost per page a bit. Individually, the PG-243 and CL-244 cost $36.98, while a pack of two costs $26.99. However, the high cost of this 100-page-per-page cartridge makes it difficult to recommend.
Unfortunately, buying two packs of higher capacity cartridges will not save you money on printing. When purchased with 50 sheets of 4-by-6-inch drawing paper, the PG-245 black (180 pages) and CL-246 XL (300 pages) cartridges cost $54.99 each. However, buying them individually costs only $47.98. It’s not clear from Canon’s online store whether the set contains plain photo paper or Plus Glossy II Photo Paper. In any case, that’s not a good deal. $10.99 for 100 packs of 4 by 6 inch Plus Glossy II Photo Paper. The standard pack of drawing paper costs $5.99. The numbers don’t increase.
Settings and Software
Install the ink cartridges after removing a handful of tape and box materials. When I set up a USB connection with a Windows 10 laptop, I suggest you to open ij.start.canon and download the software.
However, when I first tried to print, I received an error warning because one of the cartridges was not fully installed. The ink cartridge compartment is hidden behind a folding door deep in the body. It’s a little difficult to get inside and install the cartridge: you have to insert the cartridge and tilt it up a bit.
The TS3320 cannot print a full-page photo on letter-size glossy paper, as specified in the print speed section. Attempting to print to letter-size graphics paper conflicts with other print options — which were not described — and the print driver changes the paper size setting to 4-by-6.
We received a second test model from the company, but the same test failed. When I try to print a 4-by-6-inch photo on letter-size glossy paper, I get an error notification stating that the media type and paper size are not selected correctly.
For photo printing enthusiasts, it is worth mentioning that the TS3320 does not allow printing on matte paper.
I used my iPhone 7 to set up the device by scanning the QR code in the printed manual, which directed me to the iOS app download. The scan sent me to the Safari website where I started the setup procedure. The Canon app, on the other hand, shows the printer cannot be detected. Holding down the printer’s mobile connection button is also ineffective.

Canon Pixma TS3122 Review
The Canon Pixma ts3122 printer is compatible with the optional XL ink cartridge (sold separately), which can help you print more when you need it and extend the time between changing ink cartridges. Canon Pixma All-in-One Printer (white or black) Wireless Inkjet Printer is ideal for school and paper projects, home office and business needs, and more.
The Canon Pixma All-in-One Wireless Inkjet Printer (white or black) is the compact solution for all your home printing needs.
The Canon Pixma TS3122 and PG245/CL246 cartridges provide the ideal solution for this. First, they have relatively smaller compartments compared to CIS systems but provide decent printing capacity (250-300 sheets per refill). This feature allows you to limit the exposure of edible ink to the open air, thereby limiting the risk of biocontamination. You can store bulk ink in the refrigerator and take only the required amount to refill when necessary.
Second, these cartridges are called integrated cartridges, which means that the cartridge and printhead are one unit. Every time you replace a cartridge, you automatically get a new printhead. If you have a deadly blockage, you can always replace the cartridge. As such, it is a more economical solution than CIS or ink tank solutions, which require replacing the entire printer.
Third, the unclogging procedure is also very simple. You can blow some air into the cartridge and increase the pressure, which will push the blockage out of the printhead. No cleaning solutions or complicated equipment are required.
Finally, these cartridges can be installed into compatible printers. You don’t need to buy a special edible printer. You can install it into a printer you already have.

- Easy to replace 2 Cartridge System
- Improved tuning using Wireless Connection
- Back Paper Tray which makes refilling waffle paper or sugar quick and easy,
- Flatbed scanner

Canon Pixma TR4500 Review
The Canon Pixma TR4500 is a light-duty printer best suited for home use and has a price tag to match. It has some nice features, such as an automatic duplex, and print quality is slightly better than I would normally expect from a budget all-in-one.
Canon Pixma TR4500 Design
The Pixma TR4500 doesn’t look old-fashioned overall, but the interface and controls do. At a time when many entry-level and mid-range inkjets have shifted to large, colorful displays, the Pixma TR4500 features a small LCD screen and a variety of physical buttons. The screen is very sparse and a bit difficult to read if you don’t look at it from the right angle, but the large buttons are easy to spot, making this printer quite easy to use.
The display and control panel are located at the top of the printer, making it easier to use if you stand and look down. Try using it while sitting in front of the printer, and you will have a hard time reading the display due to the viewing angle problems mentioned above.
To the right of the display and control panel, you’ll find a flip-up panel that hides the automatic document feeder (ADF). Beneath it is an engraved pocket designed to store documents after they have been run through the ADF.
The control panel and ADF are both upside down, so clearing paper clogs is a breeze. Flipping the ADF up also displays the standard flatbed scanner if you need to scan a single document, or if you need to scan something that is an irregular size or too thick to pass through the ADF.
The front of the printer opens to reveal a paper cartridge and a telescopic platform designed to capture documents as they are printed. Paper cartridges are easy to attach to the front cover.
Further access to the interior is available by flipping the panel located behind the main cover. This allows you to insert two ink cartridges and access the paper if a jam occurs.
The back of the printer has a power cord connector, Ethernet port, USB port, and a telephone wall jack to plug in if you want to use the machine’s fax capabilities. There is also a quick release to remove the panel for additional access to paper jams.
Canon Pixma TR4500 Setup
Setting up the Pixma TR4500 should be pretty easy. Start by securely placing the two ink cartridges, one color and one black, then closing the front of the unit. You can then set up the printer using the Canon PRINT application.
Everything should be pretty quick and easy, but I ran into an issue where paper of several sizes jammed, causing an error code, during the setup process. This is the same batch of paper I use for all of my printer tests, and I’ve never had a printer take up so many sheets.
Once the printer stopped and stopped eating my paper, the process was less painful. I managed to get everything set up and connected to Wi-Fi using the Canon app on my phone, after which I was able to start printing.
Canon Pixma TR4500 Printing Quality
The PIXMA TR4500 performs very well in terms of print quality, producing perfectly acceptable results in more professional office environments if various limitations do not rule out this type of use. Text is sharp and clear when printing black and white text documents, even when printing fairly small fonts.
The mixed text and graphics also come out pretty well, including the color graphics, especially considering the fact that it’s an entry-level all-in-one. Color reproduction is quite faded on plain paper, but good enough with very smooth gradients and lines.
Despite its low cost and relying on a single color ink cartridge, the PIXMA TR4500 produces some surprisingly high-quality photo prints. I printed a variety of photos in 4×6-inch and 8×10-inch sizes, and they were all bright and uniformly colored, with beautifully saturated colors and fine details executed well. Not at the level of a fine photo printer, but good enough for an all-in-one in this price range.
The TR4500 is definitely a cut above what I’d expect from a photo printer in this price range, although ink costs are high enough that you might not want to use this unit as your primary photo printer.
